​Greetings Hampton Elementary School Families, 

A few updates for you as we head into the week!

PSSC Meeting– Our last PSSC meeting of the year takes place this coming Monday, May 29th @ 6:30pm in our Library. Thank you to our PSSC members!

DATL Grade 2 Visit – A great big THANK YOU goes out to our student leader team for their excellent tour guiding skills last Friday welcoming our future grade 3 students to Hawk Nation!

Disability Awareness Week - May 28th to June 3rd is Disability Awareness Week. This year’s theme is Accessibility = Inclusion. This is a national campaign designed to promote more efficient community access for people with disabilities. Hampton Elementary School will be taking part in a Walk and Roll Event on May 30th at 10:45 am to promote this movement. We will be walking and rolling together along School Street up past the middle school and back. Mrs. Henry will also be leading classes through adapted activities during PE that week.

HES Home and School Fundraiser Afterschool Movie, Thursday, June 1st - Hampton Elementary Home and School is excited to present this blast from the past, Lilo and Stitch. Lilo and Stitch has been making a big come back so we thought we would show this little gem! Signed permission slips and money are due on Monday, May 29th. A reminder for pick up that the Grade 3’s will be picked up at the Hawk’s Eye playground door (closest to DATL); grade 4 students can be picked up at the front door, and grade 5 students can be picked up at the Hawk’s Nest playground door ( closest to the rink). Siblings go to the dismissal door of the oldest in the family.

Volutneer Tea – HES will host a THANK YOU Tea for all our wonderful volunteers on Tuesday, June 6th @ 11am in our gym.

Grade 5 Moving Up Celebration – We are looking forward to celebrating our Grade 5 students at our Moving Up Celebration on June 21st @ 11am.

HES Swims at the Hampton Pool– Swimming starts this week on June 1st for students. Your child’s teacher will be in contact regarding their class swimming sessions.
